Must Read Information about AEIOU Course

  • Course is presented in English

  • Participants must register individually, one registration per payment.  Please register with the email address you will use for all correspondence, which must also match your email for logging onto the course via Zoom, as well as sign-on to our course platform.  If you have a government or business email address that may block emails, please consider using a personal email address so as not to miss any correspondence. Please add nina@foodsmartkids.com to your email address book.  Please look for an email with instructions for creating your login and completing a few prerequisites 1-2 weeks before the course.  If you have not received an email, please check Spam/Junk email or email nina@foodsmartkids.com for further instructions.

  • By paying for the hybrid online course format, participant agrees that no refunds can be issued once the course manual is distributed (a refund is possible more than 3 weeks from course date, less a $75 administrative fee- see Policies and Procedures page for more information).

  • Due to the current challenges with timely delivery with the postal system, course manual and resource materials will be shared electronically before the course.  Participants are strongly encouraged to print materials for use during the course for a better course experience.

  • This is an intensive course.  For the live online broadcast sessions, participants should expect their attention, interaction, and participation to be as it would if they were attending in person.  CE Credit can not be issued for partial attendance.  Participants must attend all 3 live broadcast sessions (which are NOT recorded).  Attendance and participation will be monitored throughout the course. Progression through the self-paced video modules is monitored electronically to track completion, and modules must be completed as assigned for the week in order to attend the next live broadcast session.

  • Materials Needed:

    • please have the following items with you for the course:  graham cracker, cheerios, "puffs" (such as Gerber puffs), a small open cup, a straw, and a mirror

  • Self-Paced Video/Resource Modules:  Participants will receive instructions for creating their own unique log-in and password for the course platform.  The modules will be available throughout each week for participants to access and view on their own, with unlimited replays and review throughout the course.  The video modules will be available for an additional 30 days after course completion.

  • Participation Via Zoom:  After you have registered and paid for the course, you will receive additional information, close to the date of the course, about how to log-in and participate.  You do not need a paid version of Zoom, however to maximize your experience, it is recommended that you  are logged in via a laptop/desktop computer rather than a mobile device.  Hardwiring to the internet via ethernet cable may also assure a better, more consistent connection.  Access to your device's camera and microphone will be needed for interaction, participation, and Question and Answer sessions.  ALL PARTICIPANTS SHOULD TEST THEIR EQUIPMENT, and familiarize themselves with Zoom meetings (you can have practice Zoom meetings for free with friends/family to assure you understand basic features).  Your Zoom account name as it appears on screen must match the name of the registrant to be admitted into the course.

  • Participants can problem solve tech issues by visiting:  https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us

  • NO AUDIO/VIDEO RECORDING, screen capture, or other methods of capturing course content is permitted, including for personal use.
